CellsDeal

Safety tips

Last updated: October 2026

Before you commit

  • Read the whole listing, look at every photo, and ask questions in chat before agreeing to anything.
  • Check the seller's badges and reviews. A new account with a price far below market is a warning sign.
  • If a deal sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
  • Keep the conversation on CellsDeal chat so there is a record of what was agreed.

Never pay before you can check what you're buying

  • For classified listings, don't send advance money, "booking" fees, or "delivery" fees to someone you haven't met.
  • Be careful with anyone who rushes you, or who asks you to move to another app to pay.
  • Never share your OTP, bKash or Nagad PIN, or card details with anyone. CellsDeal staff will never ask for them.

Meeting in person

  • Meet in a public, well-lit place, preferably in the daytime, and tell someone where you're going.
  • Inspect the item and test it before you hand over money.
  • For phones and electronics, check the box, serial or IMEI, and that the device isn't locked to someone else's account.
  • For vehicles, check the registration papers, tax token, and fitness certificate, and see that the chassis and engine numbers match.
  • For property, visit it yourself and verify ownership documents before paying any amount.

Buying from stores with Buy Now

  • Checkout orders can be paid by Cash on Delivery or online. See how it works on the Cash on delivery page.
  • Keep your order number and track the order from your Orders page.
  • Check the item when it arrives, before paying the courier on a Cash on Delivery order.

See Cash on delivery and Buyer protection for details.

Looking for a job

  • A genuine employer does not charge you to apply, interview, or start work. Walk away from anyone who asks for a fee.
  • Be cautious about offers that promise high pay for little work, or that ask for copies of your NID or bank details up front.
